Application packages are provided upon request.
When contacting the Board to request an Application package , please indicate whether you are seeking Doctoral-level licensure (Psychologist) or Master’s-level licensure (Psychological Technician) and provide both your EMAIL ADDRESS and MAILING ADDRESS. While Application materials may be emailed to the Board Office for processing, Criminal History Record Information (CHRI) background check documents and payment must be mailed.
Current Application Fees Due Upon Submission:
- Psychologist Application Fee - $400.00
- Psychological Technician Application Fee - $260.00
- Criminal History Record Information (CHRI) Background Check Fee - Effective October 1, 2026, the combined State and Federal criminal history background check processing fee payable to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) is $40.00. This fee is separate from the Board's application fee. Applicants must submit required CHRI materials and payment in accordance with the instructions provided in the application package, as referenced above.
